Hello, world! I bring you warm greetings from Nigeria, special greetings to the Himd Whale community, and congratulations for being among the selected communities to partake in the Engagement Challenge Contests Season6week1 and I am so delighted to be a participant in the contests. Thanks to the statemit team and this amiable community for working hard to raise this lively contest topic which is; "The list of outdoor games from childhood which are not famous " as you read from my blog, I promise you would enjoy reading through.

It's so lively to participate in the above topic because it reminds me of the good times I had with friends in my childhood. We played a lot of games, not just one game but different games, but I have found out that while growing up, I stopped most of those games because an adult shouldn't be seen playing such games again especially the tyre games or other games that are known by children. Another thing is that those games are also not famous, once a child is growing, the child feels that the game is meant for children and I wouldn't know the reasons why but I will be sharing the list of my childhood game.

Some of the games that I played at that time were hiding and seek games, tyre games, and rope skipping games.

Tyre games

Tyre games are quite interesting, it's a game that can be played alone, but preferably, a game of more two persons. A line is always drawn for such games and every participant with his or her trye would try to be the winner by putting in more effort and most times we get wounded🤣 Again, we don't see it as necessarily a game then, but we feel the tyres are cars and bikes and when our parents sends us we feel its better to use the tire to be running by the roadside and to feel we are riding or driving too. It's a sweet game and I was playing much because I loved playing.

Hide and seek game

The game of hide and seek is a game of more than two persons or let's say three and above. The target in this game or the aim is that, one person would make sure he or she hides and then the rest goes round to look for the person, they will all go to seek the person hiding and anyone who finds the hidden person would be the winner and its the turn of the winner to hide and others would seek to find where he or she is hiding. So we would keep rotating until we are all tired for the day because it involves running.

In villages, because I grow up in the village, hide and seek game is always fun at night and not in the daytime but for security, children shouldn't be allowed to play at night but rather, at noon. I so much loved that game those days but I had to stop because, in my peer group, everyone was feeling he or she is mature for the game and so also myself.

Rope Skipping games

This is interesting too. The game is a game of more than one person with their ropes. This game becomes more lively especially when the participants keep trying and others hail the person's efforts.

So this is how it is played, the participant holds a long rope that can go round and higher than the head level. it is called skipping because the participants would keep swinging their hands to make sure the rope passed through the feet as he jumps and over the head.

Counting is also involved in the game and it is what determines who should be the winner I.e the one with higher counts. Sometimes, the loser is the one who gets tired before the stipulated time.

In conclusion, these games are exercises as well, it helps to keep fit the child's body system but the problem is that these games are not famous, once a child is growing up, it is assumed that there are certain things the child should not do as he gets matured. And I was wishing to continue but no way😄

Thank you all for reading through my post, I invite @adeljose, @yakseace, and @albenis to participate in this lively contest.

Thanks for reading...
