First of all I would like to thank @deepak94 for organizing such an interesting competition.
Actually, I have traveled to many places, but the trip to visit the place that I am going to share with you today is my best travel story. So I hope you will like this story.
So today, as always, I am preparing to share with you some information about another beautiful place in Sri Lanka.
So if I say about this place, I am right if I say that this is a very famous place in Sri Lanka as well as in many other countries.
Because of this, in 1982 this place was named as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and Sigiriya is also the eighth wonder of the world.
Local and foreign tourists visit this place.
So I also went to see Sigiriya last weekend.
So I thought I would share that experience with you.
So, even though we went early on Saturday morning, we could not go on time with the traffic on the road.
We stayed that night and went to climb Sigiri rock the next morning.
So really, this is a very beautiful place. There are many things to see.
And there are many things to learn about our history here.
So if we talk about Sigiriya, this place is located in Matale District of Central Province of Sri Lanka, on the road from Kurunegala to Dambulla, Sigiriya is located at a distance of 6 km along the road in the south direction from Inamaluwa Junction.
Sigiriya is a fort built on a rock. It is located at a height of 1214 feet from the sea shore.
Apart from that, there are ruins of a cave temple from the foot of the rock to the west. But it is mentioned in history that it was established by King Devanampiyatissa
It is mentioned in history that later the first king Kashapa built a fort on this rock.
According to the investigations carried out so far, it has been identified that there were 8 historical periods in Sigiriya.
that is,
*Adi Inception Age.
*Pre-Kasapa era.
*Kashapa Yuga.
*The hermit age.
*Post-Kasapa era
*The age of relinquishment
*kandy period
*Modern Renaissance
This is an archeological site belonging to the cultural triangle. Sigiri fort is a truly amazing place.
This fort is made up of many parts.
The Sigiri rock, the palace on it, the fort, the protected moats, the water park, the murals, the mirror wall with the Sigiri inscriptions, the museum, the ancient caves, and many other things have been combined to create this huge fort.
In addition, the irrigation technology in Sigiriya is still a mystery.
Not only that, you must tell that you cannot visit Sigiriya after 6 pm. Because there are wild elephants in the forest on both sides of the road leading to this station, it is forbidden to enter this station after 6 pm for the safety of the tourists.
Not only that, on the way to Sigiriya, facilities have been provided to buy food and drink and clothes.
Also, we can see a very advanced infrastructure system, when we go to this place.
So, as usual, everyone is invited to come and experience the beauty of this place, while also reminding them to protect the right of the future generations to experience the beauty of this place.
So I say goodbye for today hoping to meet again on another beautiful day, with a beautiful memory.
I wish with all my heart that today is a beautiful and very lucky day for all of you.
