SEC-S16/W2 - "Childhood trauma and incidents: how do they affect our children's life?
Children in our society are very important part of the society at large. They are the future of any nation and hence should be properly taken care of. In this post I’ve discussed about the problems faced by children and how to protect our children from these problems.

What are the problems faced by children, & which are all childhood traumas?
Children are faced by many problems in the society and the family and such problems includes;
- Bullying
- Sleep disorder
- Eating disorder
- lack of adequate care especially from families with large number of children
- Lack of Wholesome parental guidance
- Abuse from parents, guardians and close relatives
- Lack of good education
- Inadequate health care
- Child labor
- Peer pressure and etc
How to protect children from social bullying?
Children in one way or the other have fallen victims of social bullying which has to do with hurting someone’s personality in a way to bring them down. Social bullying can happen online which is also known as cyber bullying or can happen in physically.
Children should be taught to reduce the amount of time spent online and they should known their boundaries in what to watch and where to go online and offline and they should also be taught to be self confident and learn to stand up for themselves in the face of bullies and they can also avoid bully zones.
How to educate our children about good touch and bad touch?
Children have fallen victims to good touch and bad touch on a daily basis and hence should be educated on what a good touch and bad touch is. Children should know the boundaries to be touched in their bodies and they should report to the parents if they sense anyone touch them in an unseemly way.
This education on good and bad touch should not be limited to outsiders only but also members of the family because I’ve seen children fall victims of bad touch from the so called family members.
What do we have to sacrifice to raise a good child?
Raising a child is so sacrificing on the parts of the parents and it’s even worse when single parenting is involved. The parents will have to sacrifice their time and adjust to the children’s schedule especially when they are very tender.
The comfort and finances of the parents will have to be involved. Parenting and raising children involves alot of work and sacrifices and modeling the right thing before the kids.
