Children's activities outside of the curriculum can continue the development of children's mental development. A child should be allowed to do activities that he likes because it will benefit his mental development. As you mentioned chess increases IQ but to be physically fit football, swimming, cycling, dancing, cultural activities, theater or other sports make children physically and mentally strong.

Hola @abdul-rakib asi es por ejemplo en mi país Venezuela las actividades extracurriculares hay que pagarlas porque están fuera del horario de clases, en otros países esas actividades están incluidas en su sistema educativo, y acá no todos poseen un medio adquisitivo que les permita cancelar dichas actividades sin embargo cada papa hace lo posible por brindarle a sus hijos una mejor calidad educativa.
