The extended family of the heir to the Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam held a ceremony commemorating the Islamic new year 1 Muharram 1446 Hijri at Istana Darul Ihsan, Banda Aceh, Sunday.
The ceremony was led by the Royal Heir of the Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam Tuangku Muhammad ZN (I) Al Haj, with the top of the ceremony marked by the reading of Malikul Adil Information, the Royal Ceremonial Council of the Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam.
In addition to the family heirs of the Aceh Darussalam Kingdom, the ceremony was also attended by family delegates from the Kingdom of Thailand, Malaysia, and others, as well as the Indonesian Malay Customary Assembly. The participants of the ceremony wore royal robes, including wearing a badge of appreciation on the chest.
The ceremony was marked by the honoring of the Red and White Flag and the Flag of the World of Swords, which was followed by the reading of salawat badar followed by all the participants of the ceremony.
The Flag of the World of Swords is the flag of the Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam that has existed for hundreds of years. The Flag of the Sword Realm has a red background with a star and crescent moon and the bottom of the sword is white.
Tuanku Muhammad Za (I) Al Haj in his message called for the unity of the people after the 2024 Election democracy party, as well as accepting the election results, both legislative and presidential elections.
"After this election, we are faced with the election of the district head or election. An honest and fair election is the hope of the community, so that qualified leaders are elected who are able to bring about positive change," said Tuanku Muhammad ZN (I) Al Haj.
Meanwhile, Datok Sri Urus Setia Kerajaan Aceh Darussalam (Government Secretariat) Muhammad Siddiq Armia said the ceremony was a routine agenda for the heirs of the Aceh Darussalam Kingdom which is carried out on 1 Muharram every year.
"There is a lot of wisdom and history on 1 Muharram, among which migration has become even better. This ceremony is also signed with the raising of the Red and White Flag and the Realm of the Sword which is a symbol of unity and unity," he said.
In addition, he said, the ceremony is also part of efforts to call for the resolution of conflicts in various countries, including Palestine in order to create world peace.
"In this commemoration of the 1st of Muharram, we also invite all elements of society to maintain unity and unity after the election and create a peaceful election that will take place on November 27, 2024," said Muhammad Siddiq Armia.
