I love to write poems when I'm overwhelmed by emotions. I feel if there's no emotion poured into a poem, no matter how beautifully written it is, there's no life in it. I haven't shared any of my poetry here on steemit, because i'm not sure if there are any communities that appreciate poetry. If there is and any of you reading this knows about it, do let me know!

Haven’t you ever collapsed to the floor crying,
And with tears rolling down your cheeks,
Have you never asked, hiding all your pain,
If they're doing okay,
Because that’s all that mattered.
Then you’ve never been in love.

Haven’t you ever silently swallowed all the careless sharp words,
And with blood dripping down your emotions,
Have you never just said,
Hiding all the broken pieces of your heart,
I understand,
Because you do.
Then you’ve never been in love.
