Atletico Beat Barcelona To Progress To Supercopa Finals
Atletico Madrid have now progressed to the Spanish Super Cup final after defeating Catalan giants Barcelona 2-3 in the King Abdullah Sports City stadium, Saudi Arabia.
The first half saw both side coming out at each but with Atletico starting the half better and with intent of getting on the score sheet first. The first half however ended in a statement.
Second half began with Atletico finding their way to the Barcelona's net through a goal from Koke. Barcelona responded minutes later through their talisman Lionel Messi to make it 1-1.
Messi added another but it unfortunately ruled out by VAR. Former Atletico man Griezmann then added a goal to make it 2-1.
Neto from Barcelona gifted Atletico a penalty which was converted by Morata who made it 2-2. Correa put the game to bed in 86th minute as his goal saw Atletico run out 2-3 winners.
Atletico will now be facing yesterday's winner and rival Real Madrid in the final of the Super Cup.
