Spring Feelings ... A Countdown to Spring ... (day 9)

Only 71 days to go ...

Temperature of 14 degrees.

And today it feels like the temperature in the Netherlands is getting a preview of the coming spring. It can be 14 degrees here today in the south of our small country. Not really a wintry January day, but to say that I get a spring feeling from this? No, not that either ... It is not sunny at all, but 50 shades of gray with rain all day.

A Sunny February day last year.

Then the February day when I took this photo of Rowan last year was a much better day to get that spring feeling in your head.

Crocuses everywhere.

It was not that hot at all, but it was a wonderfully sunny day ... AND the crocuses were everywhere everywhere to make the world a little happier with their colors.

Rowan knew spring was in the air.

And it was also noticeable by Rowan that spring was coming. Every year, around the time nature starts to prepare itself for spring, Rowan was naughty and he found a standard spot to dig that I wasn't so happy with. But at the same time it made me laugh a lot.

Caught him digging out crocuses.

I just caught him here when he wanted to start digging out these beautiful crocuses. And he knew it! He knew very well that the female could not appreciate his action so much. But if I had doubted myself, then I knew for sure that spring was really in the air.

Energy balls that run around happily.

And according to Rowan, spring was the time of year to play outside together. In the summer dogs are much quieter, they still love to be outside ... but then they lie lazy in the sun. In the spring, on the other hand, it is all energy balls that run happily around you and thus give you joy, happiness and activity all day long.

Wondering if Lana and Myla will take over typical Rowan rituals.

I wonder if this year Lana and Myla will be able to make it clear to me that spring is coming, wonder if one of the two ladies will take over the annual ritual of Rowan. It will not surprise me in view of the fact that I have seen Lana and Myla both in the past few days doing things that they had not done before, but which were typically associated with Rowan.
