Meeting With The Hunter || Robber Flies || Macrophotography

Assalamualaikum... Steemian friends, how are you today, I hope everything is good and running smoothly today.

I'm back with a macro photography post to entertain all of you, I hope you like this post.

In a beautiful meadow dotted with greenery, the grass occasionally sways in the breeze, a black insect appears perched on a grass leaf.

At first I thought it was a dragonfly, I was surprised when it flew and grabbed another flying insect and caught it and then ate it, this animal was named the robber fly, or in scientific terms Ommatius.

Robber fly or ommatius can live in tropical climates and have many species spread over several continents such as Asia and America.

In every hunt, this fly only perches watching the movements of its prey with its sharp eyes, and with its fast movements it hunts and bites its prey then injects poison to paralyze its prey, and then eats it.

I managed to capture several angles of this robber fly, using my smartphone and assisted by a 35 mm macro lens, I was a bit overwhelmed in the process of taking pictures because this robber fly is very sensitive and aggressive, to my movements, but I still follow his movements slowly until he fly away.
