The most beautiful moment for my life was the moment when I am standing on the snow .. surrounded by milky white mountains .. and the sun rises slowly !! It's the morning in the Annapurna Base Camp.

We completed this trek on April 2021. To reach Annapurna Base Camp from Kolkata, our hometown, we boarded train to Raxaul. Then we took a tanga to cross the international boarder between India and Nepal to reach Birgunj in Nepal. From Birgunj, we travelled to Kathmandu by overnight bus. Next morning, a domestic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhra. After getting the necessary permit, we hired a car to reach Ghandruk, which is the last motorable point of Annapurna Base Camp trek. Our trek begins on the next day. It was Ghandruk to Chomrong for around 9.4km. The following day, we trekked 10.5km for Chomrong to Dovan. Then 9km from Dovan to Deurali on next day. And finally 8km from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp the day after.

Annapurna Base Camp is at a height of 4125 meter above the sea level. There was snowfall when we reached there. We had a big doubt if the weather will be clear. On the other hand, I had tremendous headache, nausea and vomiting. I was awake almost the entire night.

Suddenly heard one of my trek mate is calling by my name. The sky is clear. The show is about to begin.

I got dressed with three layers and went to the view point. It was once in lifetime experience. The milky-white mountains started changing their color - from white to saffron .. then saffron to red .. then red to yellowish white. All the pain, all the suffering, all the effort is worth for the beauty. I will never ever forget this moments.
