Intro


I believe nobody doubts that exercises are good for us, but not always do we do have the time to do it. Scientists agree that the optimal time for moderate exercise activity is 150 minutes per week which means half an hour five times a week. If thinking about running or going to the gym scares you, find some activity which will give you more joy: it can be swimming, some group sport, cycling or anything else you will enjoy. If you don't have enough time to practice regularly, at least what you can do is to change some habits to increase your regular activity - take the bicycle instead of the car to go shopping or to work, use the stairs instead of the elevator, make few push-ups in the morning, right after waking up. Even such small things may have a positive effect on your health and mood.

Let's look closer to five benefits of regular exercise:


1️⃣Exercises makes you more healthy


Be active and live a long life, people say. There is plenty of truth in that words. Most of the health issues in well-developed countries are the direct effect of obesity. Losing weight and improving blood circulation allows us to lower the risk of heart diseases, lower sugar levels (and the risk of diabetes), triglycerides, cholesterol, and blood pressure (that means less risk of stroke or heart attack). It also makes our immune system stronger and helps to avoid osteoporosis.

In fact, regular exercises, especially when we are 35 or older, are crucial for our future. Keeping our body active guarantees us that when we will be 70+, we still are in a shape, won't have problems with grabbing heavier things or staying on our legs the whole day.


2️⃣ Exercises makes you look better


I'm a very body-positive person. I believe chubby may be sexy. I consider myself to be bear and quite handsome (no, it's not egocentrism, I believe everyone should think about themselves kindly and call themselves handsome/beautiful because every human being is beautiful in some way).

Making exercises makes us look even better though - not only by making us muscular or skinny, which may not be attractive for everyone, but because it helps us to sleep better and has a positive impact on our mood. Our skin and hair are better, eyes are more shiny and we are becoming more friendly to the people in around.


3️⃣ Exercises helps to get new friends


Some sports activities are a great way to meet new friends. No matter if you prefer to go out to the gym or play football with your friends, you have the opportunity to socialize with others and meet new people. It's important to have people we like around, even when we are introverts. Our characters can make us spend time with others more often or just once in a while, but in any of that cases, it's great to have someone to talk with, ask for help in an emergency situation or just enjoy the meal together.


4️⃣ Exercises makes you feel better


Every physical activity stimulates your brain to produce dopamine, a hormone that makes you happy and satisfied. That's why regular exercises are recommended as the best way to prevent depression and as the support in the treatment for the people who are already depressed

It's important to mention that if you have been diagnosed with depression, it cannot be cured just by the exercises. Depression is an illness like every other and you won't get rid of it with the exercises, chocolate, or comedies from Netflix. Contact the psychiatrist to find the best treatment for you. It may include psychotherapy and/or medicine.

Exercises lower the stress level, which is very important in the modern, busy world. It also increases our self-esteem and the quality of our sleep. Just remember to not practice any sport directly before going to bed. Yes, you will be tired which theoretically should make you more sleepy, but every exercise increase heart beating and, in fact, makes you more awake. The perfect timing to do it is in the morning, right after waking up.


5️⃣Exercises makes you a better lover


That's true - being active on a regular, daily basis, increases our stamina and makes us all more interested in physical contact with another person. By improving our condition, we can also make our sexual intercourse longer and we may be able to try few positions which were not available to us before. Sexologists are saying that because of the fact that exercise significantly improves the blood circulation in our bodies, the orgasms of the people who are practicing regularly are stronger and more pleasurable. Exercises shouldn't be too intense though - moderate activity helps to satisfy both men and women but overexercising, especially aero, lowers testosterone production which may be the problem for the men.

If you want to improve your skills in the bedroom, moderate exercise may be the best way to do it.
