On this happy day I am very grateful to @razuan12 for giving me the opportunity to spend time in his cooking contest content and also share my experience in the field of cooking.
Alright for the second contest I will share my cooking experience with a simple traditional popular recipe of cooking fish meujayet curry patarana.

I chose meujayet fish as my cooking menu because fish is very easy to find and can also be used as a breakfast menu for family dishes such as housewives and others. Meujayet fish has a meat structure that is very very soft and does not break easily when cut and stirred and quickly cooks. But this time I am very different from cooking, in fish curry I add patarana as a curry flavoring which is a traditional popular Aceh dish. The ingredients are also very easy to find in Indonesian villages/rural areas.

How Me cook

  • Step 1
    First, prepare the table fish pieces in the pan and sprinkle with salt and lime juice. After that let stand 5 minutes so that the whole seep into the fish meat.

  • Step 2
    While waiting to infuse, prepare the ingredients for grinding / finely ground spices such as shallots, garlic, dried curly chilies, cayenne pepper, turmeric and marica pepper in a crusher such as a blender until smooth.

  • Step 3
    After the material is really slippery. Pour into a frying pan containing table fish and curly chilies that have been split into two parts.

  • Step 4
    Patarana. Previously the patarana had been soaked for 10-15 minutes with clean water before puree.

  • Step 5
    After the patarana becomes smooth, pour the patarana into the pan as well using a sieve / strainer until it is filtered watery.

  • Step 6
    Squeeze the grated coconut by hand several times adding a little water until the coconut milk is completely removed.

  • Step 7
    After the coconut juice is enough, then pour the coconut milk into the pan also using a filter so that the coconut cloth does not get into this pan until it is enough.

    Do not let the canvas / grated coconut enter / mix.

  • Step 8
    Kaffir lime leaves that have been cut into pieces and put into the pan. Because the leaves of the wrinkle can make our dishes become fragrant and more delicious.

    Entering the orange leaf pieces, the stomach can also release the taste, aroma, and smell.

  • Step 9
    Heat the cooking mixture until it boils, don't forget to stir it always, so that the coconut milk is evenly mixed or blended. In a period of 30 minutes and wait until it is cooked.

Meujayet fish maturity can also be pinched by hand and waited until tender, and before that you can add flavoring to dishes with salt or other seasonings according to the specified taste.

Stir until it boils and can be added as a flavoring and also the cooked fish can be pinched or waited until tender.

  • Langkah 10
    With the provision of a few minutes I can serve my food out, like I said, this dish is very fragrant and tastes delicious and the acidity of the curry comes from the patarana.
