On hot summer days, the rivers and canals in out city become crowded. Pleasure boats of different sizes and classes offer everyone a ride, and this is really a very popular entertainment not only among tourists, but also among citizens.





And, indeed, the view of St. Petersburg from the water is simply stunning.
And besides, from the water you can see many of the sights of our city from an unusual angle.





There are a huge number of travel agencies that conduct water excursions around the city. Some offer small trips only to the canals, others are ready to take you along the canals and along the Neva River, others will offer you two-hour trips along several rivers.





On the Neva, however, there are no traffic jams: this is a fairly large river. But in small rivers and channels, queues of boats often accumulate to pass, for example, under bridges and let oncoming boats pass.
By the way, many bridges over canals are quite low: if you stand in a boat, you can touch the bridges "ceiling" with your hand. But they are not allowed to get up - it is dangerous.





And if you come to St. Petersburg one day, I highly recommend that you take a ride on a pleasure boat along our rivers and canals. In general, right now is the best time to go on a water excursion around St. Petersburg: it's hot in the city, but it's always cooler on the water. So, if you are not afraid of the heat of 30 degrees Celsius, come soon: this weather will last for another month.
