Summer is gaining momentum, or rather, the harvest period is already gaining momentum. Last time I talked about fresh young zucchini, and this morning I cut off the heads of broccoli. I reminded my wife on Monday about broccoli, that it was probably ripe. As they say, we talked and forgot. It was lucky that it rained for 2 days and the temperature dropped to +14 degrees. This morning I remembered about the conversation and realized that I urgently need to go look. Ugh... the flowers haven't appeared yet. Very good!
Лето набирает обороты, а точнее, уже набирает обороты период сбора урожая. В прошлый раз я рассказал о свежих молодых кабачках, а сегодня утром я срезал головки брокколи. Я жене еще в понедельник напомнил про брокколи, что, наверное, она созрела. Как говорится, поговорили и забыли. Повезло, что 2 дня шел дождь и тепмпература снижалась до +14 градусов. Сегодня утром я вспомнил о разговоре и понял, что надо срочно идти смотреть. Уф... цветочки еще не появились. Очень хорошо!
Beautiful head! Perfect size and weight. I took off 4 identical large heads and one slightly smaller.
I leave the plant itself in place, because new heads of inflorescences may appear in place of the cut head, but they will be smaller.
Today for dinner you can cook broccoli with cheese. I know that a lot of people don't really like this kind of "grass", but we often cook a similar dish.

Я оставляю само растение на месте, потому что на месте срезанной головки могут появиться новые головки соцветий, но они будут меньшего размера.
Сегодня на ужин можно приготовить брокколи с сыром. Я знаю, что много людей не очень любят подобную траву, но мычастенько готовим подобное блюдо.
My wife said that 10 roots were planted. I only took 5. Where are 5 more plants? I have already discussed the planting plan with my wife this year. We need to develop some more land, but she is against it. Because of this, we have disputes. I think she will understand in the fall that because of the dense planting of plants, we will not get the right amount of harvest.

Я очень люблю брокколи, пожаренную на сковороде! Не представляю, как можно её не любить )) Но с её выращиванием у меня не складывается, увы, я уже и пытаться бросила.
любит полив. Иначе как всё крестоцветное старается начать цвести.

Those look good! I do not plant it because we have a white butterfly that eats them faster than they can grow. All brassicas are affected by this insect and everything is full of holes before it can be harvested. I think it is because there are so many canola fields close by.
There is such a trouble. But... There is a non-woven covering material that saves these plants from the white butterfly and from the cruciferous flea.
Currently I don't even see this flying and jumping parasite.
