Capable of stealing data and images .. Warning from a "dangerous application"

Android phone users are facing a warning about a "very dangerous" application that has been downloaded more than 100 million times so far, due to its hiding malicious spyware and its involvement in breaching the data of millions of users.

The American "Forbes" magazine, in a report, warned of "VPN" applications, especially free ones, and the "Super VPN" application in particular.

The company responsible for the "VPN Pro" application said, "More than 105 million people may have their credit card details stolen, and their photos and videos are sold over the Internet and record their private conversations" because of those applications, pointing out that they are (the applications). "It allows hackers to intercept communications between the user and the provider, and even redirect users to a malicious hacker server."

VPN applications, which are banned in several countries, aim to create a "path" between your device and the Internet, and direct your traffic through a server to hide your location and activity on the Internet. These applications have become more common in recent years.

On Friday, the CyberNews team warned that "a user of a popular hacker forum is selling 3 databases that allegedly contain user credentials and their device data, from three different VPN services."

The site stated that the violation included details of about 21 million users, with data including names, email addresses, payment information, and even device details.
