the virtual wallets are a very secure way to store money, the only problem with them is that security is the responsibility of the user, on the other hand in the traditional web the process to recover a password is very simple, now in the blockchain something very different happens because if for some reason you lose access to your wallet the funds that are there are totally lost this leads us to think that the wallets are safe but risky.
