One of the things I like about agroecology is that while food is produced, nature is also taken care of, in Venezuela with the shortage of agricultural products such as pesticides, farmers have had to make small agricultural ecosystems where what the cattle eat is produced on the same farm, also with animal waste the land is fertilised, also in chicken farms avocado trees are planted so that the plant provides shade for the chickens and chicken droppings serve as fertiliser for the plants.
