RE: Technology and social distancing!

in Project HOPE6 years ago

Hi @franyeligonzalez, about your question:
Do you think it has brought us together or has distanced us?

I particularly think that the dependence that society has developed towards telephones is so great that it has reached the point of hindering communication and understanding, I have two cases that I can cite:

  1. A couple of students were not complying with the corrections requested on their degree thesis because they were only limited to reading the observations from their smartphone, the problem is that these teams are not yet autonomous enough as a computer, and what they had to "watch" their corrections they just couldn't see it on their phone because the apps aren't good enough for it. They almost missed the chance to graduate for such a simple and silly thing.

  2. A colleague in one of the companies where I provide services complains about the time she wastes trying to download files from her phone to transfer it to her tablet or PC because the internet is intermittent and she wants to do all her work from her smartphone; I told him to simply use the computer cable to download the same as a pen drive, he refused because "the internet is everything"?

What is the point? The problem is that there is an extreme dependence that has developed in current generations and also in those generations that were born without technology, I exclude myself because I always try to stay at the forefront without falling into excesses, I know the worst "tech monster" I treat him with respect and the necessary distance.

Very good that you have rescued this issue, I consider it appropriate.

Hello friend, thanks for your comment, I agree with you, we can make use of it but without excesses and without falling into ignorance at the same time. Thanks for coming by!
