Is there any use in feeling guilt?

Guilt is an emotion or a feeling that deserves to be controlled, however this is not something that is learned overnight, it is life experiences that push us towards a learning process under which learning to control the feeling of guilt can end up being essential for our personal development.

Perhaps throughout the evolution of mankind there has been a misperception about considering guilt as a negative emotion, and when I say that it can mean a misperception is because guilt seen as a negative emotion will depend on the context in which it develops.

The importance of being able to see guilt as a positive emotion is that we can move towards a transformation in which we stop seeing guilt as something negative and transform this vision towards a perspective where guilt is seen as an ally that can repair without having to torture us.

One way to build positive aspects out of guilt is to be able to correct our mistakes every time we feel guilt, but it must be a sincere and true feeling of guilt, where instead of tormenting ourselves for the mistakes we have made, we can simply build a learning process based on the mistakes of the past.
