Combining Your Dreams With Enthusiasm

It is true that everyone has a dream of what they want to achieve or who they want to become. However, it does not just stop at dreaming, there must be something that will be added to the dream in order for it to deliver. Obviously, something will have to drive you towards the pursuit of your dream and that is enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is simply the undivided interest towards the pursuit of a particular thing.

No matter the kind of hurdles that are on your way, as long as you keep your enthusiasm and your excitement alive, you will still have the oomph to pursue after your dreams. Your dreams will remain alive as long as your enthusiasm is still active. This is the reason it has been said times and again that even if you have lost a couple of things but you did not lose your enthusiasm, then there is still a hope of bouncing back because you have not lost everything.

The truth is, one of the worst forms of losses is the loss of enthusiasm. Losing enthusiasm renders one emotionally bankrupt. If you have other things but lack enthusiasm, then you are lacking a major aspect of your life, because nothing will be there to motivate you to success. The reason why you wake up in the morning and get off to pursue a particular idea or a job or a dream is because of your enthusiasm.

Many people may have knowledge in a particular thing. No doubt, gaining knowledge is good and important, but knowledge on its own is not everything. You need enthusiasm to ensure that your knowledge will deliver. This is because, having the whole knowledge without having enthusiasm is likened to having an empty pool that does not have any water inside it, or like having a firewood without having light on it.

Enthusiasm can be likened to the engine that is installed to power a vehicle - without which the vehicle will not move. A particular football tournament was held during the Olympics of 1996 which involved the Nigerian senior team and their Brazilian counterparts in the finals. The match ended in favor of the Nigerian team, by beating Brazil to win the Olympic gold. During the interview of the head coach about the reason why his team was able to put up an unparalleled performance, he replied with a word "Enthusiasm."

When your enthusiasm is coupled with feeling of excitement, then you will become unstoppable. You will agree with me that you will be more likely to do more of what excites you and what you are enthusiastic about. This is the power behind enthusiasm.

It is worthy to note that, just like any other thing, enthusiasm should be built and boosted. There are various ways to boost your enthusiasm and that includes: Keep taking daring steps even without having the full support. Do not allow a failed attempt to dissuade you from trying again. Do not stop going for more knowledge. So you should try to empower your enthusiasm with knowledge.
