Breaking Off From Fear
Most times, what is standing between people and their breakthrough is just the fear of taking a step, not some unseen forces from anywhere. It will be surprising to know that many people have been stagnated in one place simply because they do not want to make a move from their comfort zone, so they have refused to access the next phase of their lives. Until you get tired of your present location, you may not see the need to launch out into the next phase through your actions. However, this will require you to take certain risks which should be done without fear.
What many people are scared of is nothing more than just a mental creation that have been constantly meditated upon and made to look big. If you have travelled on a tarred road in a hot afternoon, you will agree with me that a point will come when it will look like there is a pool of water ahead, but when you approach closer, you will realize that the pool is nonexistent but it is only a mirage. This is exactly what fear does. It makes you to see something that is unreal as though it is real. However, when you take steps towards what you fear most, you will realize that it is only existing in your imagination.
What fear does to anyone is to limit them from making moves or taking step. You will agree with me that there is no way you can take risks when you are nursing fear in your mind. More so, any major advancement you want to make in life will require you to take risks. That means, the more you nurse fear, the more you are further away from breaking through. One thing with fear is that it does not come automatically as a two-headed monster but it starts off very small. When you give heed to it, it will grow bigger.
At birth, according to many psychological references and citations, a child is born with a limited fear - just about two of them (fear of loud noise, and then the fear of falling). From this, you will be right to infer that every other fear and other things that represent fear are acquired over time. If other fears are acquired, then they can be overcome. One of the most effective and potent ways of keeping your fears off is to take the risk to do that singular thing that you are heavily scared of.
When you go against your fear to do what you fear, you will realize that, all these while, your fear was futile because you have been fearing what does not exist. Most of what people fear are fragments of what their own minds have created. Instead of having the fear of failure or fear of the unknown when you want to try out something new, why not look at it that you are set to get new experiences? That is, if you hit the mark, it will become part of your achievement; if you do not hit the mark, it will become a lesson for you to have a better trial when trying again.
The time you are scared to take a step is the point you are most required to take steps. If others have ever succeeded at what you want to do, then why do you think you will fail if you make the move? Even if no one has ever succeeded at it, it does not automatically mean you will not. So don't be scared of taking that step.

Greetings @samminator the fear of taking the first step will always be the most difficult in any decision, sometimes we have success at our fingertips and just for not deciding and taking action we end up letting it go, thanks for such valuable information, very entertaining reading. Success
That's right. The power behind the first step cannot be overemphasised, but that step is usually feared most. Until that fear is overcome, the first step may not be in view. Thanks a lot buddy
Greetings friend @samminator, certainly fear is the main enemy that our mind has, personally I have been afraid of many things but I have always taken that step forward to break with that fear and although sometimes the step is not too firm and I have stumbles and my fear increases I keep going forward until I can achieve my goal.
Truly our worst enemy is fear, because it takes over our mind and does not allow us to move forward, so it is important to risk and take that fundamental step in our lives.
Thanks for this awesome comment. Certainly, fear is our greatest enemy and one way to fight and overcome it is by taking steps.
Cheers buddy
We acquire fear as we grow up...we are taught with the care that we should fear, and then it settles ... in some more than others...and that definitely limits us to act in any of our moments, whether work, personal, etc, etc...good post
Yes, it is true that we acquired fear as we grow, but with the right actions, we can overcome it.
Thanks for the comment buddy
Greetings, buddy!
Actually, I completely agree with you because fear can be a huge impediment to any of us achieving our goals; if we could just get rid of it, we'd be able to do anything we thought was impossible or difficult, and most of the time, fear is created as a reason for the fear of failing; however, I believe that the true failure is not to try.
Chances abound, but it requires someone with the confidence to take them.
Thank you for sharing friend.
Exactly! The main fear is not being scared of failing but not trying at all.
Thanks a lot for the nice comment buddy
hello @samminator,
fear is so powerful that people would rather give up on their dreams than step out of their comfort zone, remember that stepping out of your comfort zone means you have to invest time and money, not to mention the risks of failure, which is something people hate. there are natural fears that are fears inherited from our primitive past but those fears are no longer valid, for example the fear of insects is something that should not be normal, also the fear of talking about our goals to others is another fear that should not be normal either, fears are controlled by facing them and really seeing what their true consequences are in reality, I believe that is the only way to overcome fear.
Greetings friend, fear will always be a great barrier, physiologically we are born with this fear to prevent us from putting ourselves in danger or to respond quickly to it, but over time we learn many more fears than we need, these slow down our personal growth but the only solution is to face them and find out if they had any basis or not, otherwise we will always be trapped in a small comfort zone.
That's right. Once we have discovered what we fear the most, we should work to overcome it by doing that same thing. Thanks a lot buddy
Greetings @samminator, it is a reality that many times we are afraid to do things, for that fear of taking a step is that we are blinded and do not move forward, without knowing the reality of what the future holds, of course to take that step we must be sure of what we are doing and as I always like to say "No fear of success" always sure of the things we do everything will go well, and if it comes to go wrong, we have the experience.
Thanks a lot for the nice comment. Yeah, fear of taking steps should be overcome by taking the steps against all odds.
Cheers buddy
Greetings @ samminator
In order to achieve something in any field, whether economic, labor, sentimental, it is important to be able to separate or control the fear, otherwise we can not achieve the goal, we know that fear is a normal feeling of human beings, but we must educate him not to make us a bad move.
Thank you very much for sharing
Nicely said. We should master the control of fear if we must hit our goals.
Thanks a lot buddy
Fear is sometimes the impetus that leads us to do things we never imagined we were capable of doing.
We are beings with an insecurity that runs in our veins, only that we control it more than others, but it is good to have it.
thank you
