RE: SCIENCE IN CIVIL ENGINEERING
Hi @barvon, I find out you used a bidbot recently. Maybe it is not smart in the newsteem era to use those. Think about it, there are better ways how to promote your thoughts.
The trick might be to delete the bot :)
I don't know if you got the pointhere with the bid not.
Let us count. You paid 4,5 STEEM for the rocky1 bidbot. You got $ 1,837 upvote for it, 50% of which is what...0,9185 STEEM. Count with me. The price of STEEM is around 0,2. So you will get from this bidbot about 4,59 STEEM. 2 % profit. 0,09 STEEM extra. Plus of course, your post gets a bit higher in the Trendings.
But instead of that, you could get a nice juicy upvote from Curangel. Maybe of the same value, maybe smaller. But just for your effort and your amazing post with amazing photos. Just think about it that way my friend. Also, some "downvoting commandas" are searching for posts/users which used bidbots and downvoting like crazy. The time of bidbots is over in my opinion. But it is surely up to you, how you will work with this information. 😏 Peace
Correct as you say, and your calculations are also very correct. But as I replied to @curangel comments, there is truth and there is also harm. Why? because everyone will feel happy if their work is appreciated by others, on this platform any interesting content will be paid for either Steem or Sbd. But after the birth of bidbot almost all good content has no price at all, one way to encourage themselves is to use bidbot.
Sorry Previously, there is one more thing that we should know here, some of the selected content (appreciated by the big people here) is just ordinary content, when compared to quality content but not appreciated at all.
Using bidbot is the wrong way, but at least they can choose posts that are more tangible quality. My advice to bidbot was immediately abolished, otherwise Steemit might not be able to run normally as in 2016-2017.
Thank you for you my friend, have a nice day.
I do not mean to argue, but only suggestions that are in the minds of the general public.
That is not true, well it was before the last hardfork. After that, bidbots are moreless irrelevant, or more, community is trying to get rid of those. That is why so many Curangels and Curies and other programs to upvote valuable content came accross.
Whales has more SP, so they can "upvote sh.t" and it will have more value in STEEM/SBD than quality content. But that is true and was true. But still, downvoting commandas are fighting at least against the misusing the upvotes of ones own comments (did by whales).
My advice - don't use bidbots and you will profit from it in the long run. Write quality content, put quality pics in it and the "curators" with big SP will find you.
I'm not saying that using a bidbot is right, it's totally wrong, but you can understand my previous comments. Now we have to know how to remove the bidbot (maybe one of the ways is with the big whales here), because we know, the bidbot is also a big whale but they use their evil intentions for personal gain.
For quality content it's clear as you say, because one of the goals of Steemit is indeed for that. I support the performance of good people here.
