Digital money is getting more attention and now a days many countries are also working to bring the digital form of yet currency. CBDC is the same thing where people will be provided the option to use digital money for the same value that the Fiat currency carry and hopefully this is going to be easier and cost effective for the government.
This is the main thing they are selling, that the elimination of fiat money will allow it to be less costly for the government by not having to print bills, but the reality is that the control there will be total. They practically can't control what we do with the cash bill, but with CBDC they will be able to.
It will be an absolute control.
