India to go with weekend lockdowns & Night curfews in some states
Hello and namaste everyone
I hope that you are doing good and staying safe.
In my recent post, I talked about the next phase of COVID-19 pandemic vaccination in India and this has helped the country to have better control over the spread of this virus. This has been a good moment so far where a lot of people are getting vaccinated who are more than 60 years and even those are between the age gap of 45 to 60 can be considered if they have some severe health issues.
Many states are also making it easy for their strategy and's to make it free and even bringing an option in their annual budget so that people don't have to spend the money for the vaccination. Although the central government is trying their best to make the vaccination available for everyone at no cost if they visit the government to promise the same. if someone is not able to go to the government hospital then he or she can visit the nearest private hospital by paying a minimum amount of INR 250 for each dose which will cost INR 500 in total for both doses of vaccine.
Now when vaccination is increasing is still there are some states who are struggling more with the pandemic spread and few states like Kerala and Maharasthra are going through a tough time. covert cases over there are increasing so fast but now the government is planning to put some kind of restricted lockdown in certain places so that they can have control over its spread. The overall country has performed pretty well to fight this virus but looks like at the last stage some states are not able to manage it well.
We are in the "end game" of the Covid-19 pandemic in India and to succeed at this stage, politics should be kept out of the Covid-19 vaccination drive, Union health minister Harsh Vardhan said on Sunday. He said people should trust the science behind vaccines and ensure that their near and dear ones get vaccinated on time.
In India, the cases reached 11.21 million and the death toll stands at 157,656. The country has inoculated more than 20 million in the ongoing vaccination drive.
The current situation in some states is really alarming but I don't think that putting a complete lockdown will be a good idea because this will affect the economy badly and the entire country has already gone through this tough time. I believe that government must put some restrictions in place to avoid social gatherings and crowds so that this can be tackled in an easy way file everyone should not be put into the houses because this will affect their employment and income for survival.
Thank you so much.
It seems that the governments want by all means to vaccinate the population in my country Venezuela the cases according to the government are on the increase and the so called "Brazilian strain" is causing more deaths than the original strain, for now things are not clear, we just have to hope for the best for everyone.
Hello @reeta0119
I agree with you that closure of trade at this time would greatly affect India's economy.
I hope that cases in the states where there is a major resurgence will be brought under control to make progress in the fight against this virus.
Great read, thanks for sharing.
Have a great day!
Best regards.
Hello friend, it really is a problem from the 2 points of view, on the one hand the economy and on the other the welfare of the people. They are difficult decisions, but a country with economic problems is more difficult to cope with at this stage. I think they should take other measures and try to reach a balance. On the other hand, people should collaborate more and take care of themselves. Greetings.
