Greetings again my dear friends I hope you are all very well, undoubtedly the language of mathematics has become an essential element for the life of humanity, and how not to be, if everything around us we can express through any expression or mathematical procedure, these expressions or procedures structured throughout our history.

Nowadays, there is no doubt that the field of education has taken care of the teaching of mathematics to our sons and daughters, of course, we also went through it, however, having gone through such learning does not guarantee that we can possess the necessary pedagogy to be able to help teachers with the teaching of mathematics to our children.

When we become adults we begin to see the world or life differently, and the responsibility for everything we do is an essential part of our personality, at least I think so, that is why the teaching of mathematics to our children is not only the responsibility of their teachers, it is also ours, however, we must constantly ask ourselves:

How can we help our children learn mathematics?

Personally I have always liked mathematics at all levels, and nowadays I like to teach this type of learning, of course it is not an easy task, but nothing impossible, however, this time I will be speaking as a parent and not as a teacher, that is why, although many do not believe it, it is not the same to teach the children of other people than our own sons and daughters.

I think that one of the first steps we can take with children or young people is to constantly remind them that they have brilliant minds, whose capabilities will always be up to any kind of demand, in short, to strengthen their self-confidence, when they begin to believe in themselves, then they begin to develop all their skills in a natural way.

As an educator in that area is the first thing I do, that is, unlock her mind to strengthen her confidence, as a father I follow the same pattern, although sometimes I exceed in my demands to my daughter causing her to block at certain times, that is why it is not the same to educate the children of others than our own sons and daughters, but nevertheless, I have been able to correct my failure towards my daughter achieving that she can have more confidence in me and in that way we have been able to move forward a lot.

But what happens in the case where parents cannot do the same, i.e., cannot contribute much to their children's mathematical learning?

First of all, they can rely on a family member or close friend who is knowledgeable about the subject and can help them improve their learning in mathematics, what parents can do regardless of whether or not they have skills in teaching mathematics, is to talk to them about self-esteem, that is, keep their self-esteem high, so they can have confidence in themselves, that nothing is impossible to learn.

One of the advantages that young people have today is that thanks to technological advances they can watch various explanatory videos of any subject related to mathematics, this is positive even for parents that maybe to see such videos can remember how they learned and thus help the teaching of their sons and daughters, previously everything was by books and we did not have in many cases who explained to us at home.

When parents and teachers are interested in the learning of mathematics of young people, the evolution will always be positive, although in some cases it is not reflected in grades or qualifications, if it will be channeled in confidence to students because they will always feel supported by both their parents and their teachers, and as we know, parents-educators are and will be the backbone of the education of young people in any society in the world.
