I am not surprised. As you make the case here @vimkuthi most of the "traditional" types do not see the value of new technologies. Really their hope is to control whatever is created. So someone like him does not see value in some thing he cannot control. At least that is the sense that I get from reading the chain.
Some other people who commented about this had similar conclusions. It seems Larry Sanger has already made up his mind about cryptocurrency.
