RE: Industrial, scientific and technological developments (pro and con)
I have never been able to think of a Revolution without "victims" and Industrial or Economic Revolutions are no exception.
Certainly the technological revolution that we currently have opens up a lot of new horizons, but it also confronts us with new pollution problems, since electronic devices can be quite biodegradable, and the increase in communication is not necessarily a means to reduce conflicts. After all, it is possible that malicious rumors and communications manipulation favor communicational matrices that trigger conflicts.
Now, is everything bad? No, every revolution leaves some gains for the winning sides, it cannot be denied that since the 18th century there were considerable advances in medicine, public health, medical care, knowledge of agribusiness and many other benefits. Also today, there are benefits derived from technological advancement that cannot be denied.
I have the expectation that the benefits will be harmonized with the losses, because otherwise, our entire civilization would be in serious trouble.
Professor @pedrobrito2004 I like many of his answers, because he does not maintain a polarized view, but rather a posture that undoubtedly denotes an opening of his mind and his understanding of the facts.
I totally agree with you, everything has its different nuances, not everything is entirely good or bad, in the human being there are both poles, and in what we do is implicit the essence of what we are.
The advances from the 18th century to the present day are undeniable, without doubt. And they will continue to come.
Thank you for your valuable commentary.
Thanks for the reply. After a few decades of life, I think I've calmed down enough to see things with a broader perspective, hahaha, I think that's a kind way of saying that I don't feel too strong to be belligerent and close-minded .
