Hmmm this is indeed an interesting topic and I made this mistake at first when I started my business, I was angry at my staff for leaving and the relationship between us became really toxic until I realized it was a bad decision.
Right now, I try my best to maintain a good relationship with my staff and even after they leave I still maintain a good relationship with them.
Good choice you eventually made. Those people can turn out to be your clients later. This is why it is important to not mingle business affairs with personal feelings.
