Quantum computing is one of the revolutionary fields in technology that is changing the way people address issues. While classical computers utilize bits to process information in binary form most of the time as either 0 or 1’s, quantum computing incorporates qubits where these can be 0 and 1 at the same time because of superposition. This unique capability makes the quantum computers solve several calculations at the same time, which makes the solution of certain problems way faster.

The most evident and possibly the most lucrative of these domains is in cryptography. The current encryption algorithms can be solved by quantum computers, and thus new quantum-resistant algorithms were developed. In turn, quantum computing has the prospect in such areas as drug design, optimization, and AI that integrates solution that is impossible to reach otherwise.

Nevertheless, the technology of using alternatives especially for packaging is still very young. Present quantum computers are noisy and often include many errors while they can only function at very low temperatures. One has to overcome the above challenges as the research goes on in order to harness quantum computing fully and form the basis of future technologies.
