Will Electric Vehicles become a Reality

in Project HOPE4 years ago

A lot of vehicle from cars, bike, planes, and ships are becoming automated and run on electricity. Companies like Tesla, Mercedes, Uber are doing their best to get hold of electric cars and make fossil fuel become obsolete but can this be the case?

It is true that there are about 1/10 of cars which runs on electricity, I have been seeing service point and car charging spots in news and documentaries abroad but I haven’t seen any in my country. Countries like China, United States and the Europe have been improving on electric car sales and production in the last 5 years but what about the remaining part of the world? Companies like Tesla, Beijing Electric vehicles, and Nissan are building a lot of electric cars but this cars are promoted to the west and East but not to all part of the world.

In developed countries, the goal is to produce vehicles that are economically friendly and can reduce the pollution. In doing this, electric vehicles have been seen as a solution and running vehicles with electricity is a solution but where do we get this electricity from? A lot of the electricity in the world comes from burning coal and only a very minute part of this comes from renewable energy. If we are looking into improving electric vehicles, then we need to consider the energy that will be used. The use of renewable energy could be a solution to this in developed countries but what happens to developing and underdeveloped countries?

In several underdeveloped countries, there are little or no electricity. I have been running on generator for 3 days now and this keeps work slow and will also affect the use of electric vehicles. In developing and underdeveloped countries, the cost of erecting a solar panel can be very expensive as the cost of living is low. With this, how long will it take to have electric vehicle go mainstream worldwide.

I do not see several underdeveloped countries having stable electricity anytime soon but I see the fact that people might start using electric vehicle in these countries with a different approach that people will have to pay to recharge their cars are charging spots. This stations could charge as per session or per hours. The EV stations will be a very good means of business but not a reason to have stable electricity. ‘

I cannot say for sure how long it will take for electric vehicles to take mainstream but it is certain that in the nearest future, the world will move to electric vehicle full time.

It might take a while for this to come to a reality as more companies are still producing fuel driven cars but in the nearest future of 50 years, we could have EV in every home

50 years is still a very long time. i appreciate your opinion.

This idea is not feasible in my country any time soon, we still have very terrible roads and we do not even have stable electricity so there is no room for electric cars taking over just yet and maybe like @ojerinde said, it may happen in the next 50 years.

That is the case in most underdeveloped nation's but with the advance in technology, anything may just happen anytime soon. I appreciate your opinion
