A lot of people out there aren't in support of Elon's Twitter takeover, some see it as a hostile takeover, lol when money speaks the low class just needs to stand by and watch how things play out, I did suggest you better get used to seeing more of this social drama in this centralized space that doesn't prioritize a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) voting system before implementing any new rule/policy on its users, Twitter could just be another meme social platform as some consider Elon's love for the meme token has been overwhelming lately.
Blue thick badge
Social media represent/identify users based on their badges those with special badges are either recognized public figures, influencers, political leaders, and highly prolific personnel in the society and are known to have the blue thick label on their social accounts, the idea of limited verified accounts is what makes most social platform fun, it has bridged a gap for users to avoid being misinformed from impersonators
What happens if every user can get verified? there could be an increase in social crime which includes conveying unverified news/information, most users are used to the idea of verified accounts having this credibility when publicizing news to their audience, a random user can set up an account and give it a name like skynews pay for blue think and boom have a bunch of followers in few hours without putting much work.
In general, blue verified thicks are meant to be merited based on a user's influence in his society just my opinion though.

The new social verification proposal has caused a lot of stir lately, as a lot of users aren't in support of the newly introduced idea of paying for blue thick, there have been complaints here and there about why this is such a bad idea others even threaten to delete their Twitter account if such role should hold, seems nothing can be done as Elon did pay little attention to his follower's tweets.
Seems it has been established a monthly $8 fee will be used for blue thick verification on Twitter, business is business and musk is here to make some cool cash that's an entrepreneurial spirit.

Ohhh how so? this is really impressive, however it was to be expected that something should come out of the purchase of twitter business is business. And more changes are sure to come, maybe now it will turn it into its own blockchain.
Sure business is business good amount of cash was used to purchase the app there need to be some incentivized means of getting those cash back.
