Por eso la compañía estadounidense Cavenue está apostando por una red paralela de carreteras inteligentes que sean de uso exclusivo para vehículos autónomos, proyecto por el que ya han recibido importantes inversiones de compañías tanto públicas como privadas, sería algo así como los carriles especiales que ya existen para taxis y transporte público.

There is no doubt that this solution could considerably advance the implementation of autonomous vehicles on the world's roads, but I think it will be a bit expensive to adapt a lane of these characteristics on existing roads and that it was better spent on adapting the infrastructure roads to connect with vehicles.

No cabe duda de que esta solución podría adelantar considerablemente la implantación de los vehículos autónomos en las carreteras del mundo, pero creo que va a salir un poco caro adecuar una vía de estas características en las carreteras existentes y que mejor se gastaba en adecuar las infraestructuras viales para conectarse con los vehículos.
