The Notion of the crypto space being decentralized is false
The concept of decentralization in the crypto space is false as some level of governance still revolve around projects which claim to be decentralized in nature. I came to this conclusion due to the numerous news and happens which has occurred recently in the crypto space.
The recent tweet by Cointelegraph on Twitter about OpenSea freezing 16 Ape NFTs stolen from a certain gallery owner in New york. This happened yesterday and the crypto world is still in a disarray of how true the word decentralized in crypto is.
Although OpenSea did the right thing freezing the assets so that the hacker won't get away with someone else's money but that puts a question mark on the whole concept of what decentralized is truly supposed to be. OpenSea intervention defeats the purpose of what a decentralized marketplace is supposed to be
There are some stories that you will hear, you will start to question whether the crypto space is truly decentralized in totality or in just theory. Well, the truth is, there are some that still revolve around centralisation as well as decentralisation.
