RE: Is Brave Browser still worth it?
Indeed, the browser remains a solid software with lots of good features. The same, however, can be said about the new Microsoft Edge - also based on Chromium - which, at least on Windows, comes with a perfect OS integration that makes it very streamlined (and free from all Google doodads and privacy gobbling code, for those who can't stand it).
I believe the project was and still is serious. In all fairness, their customer support through the Community forum is top notch - I have seen users with peculiar issues getting DMs straight from developers, and fairly swift responses despite all the traffic (the most critical forums get an average 110+ new threads a week).
And yes, lowering the amount of payment was very bad. I reckon there must have been a reason, and the most logical is... saving money, because all of a sudden Brave's return on each Ad campaign is 5x, but putting that on users by cutting their rewards was a lame choice.
The fact that you have a good customer service system is already a good thing, in fact it is something that reassures and allows many, despite having lowered the reward amount, to continue using it.
Because somehow they are protected, so to speak, backed up.
But, without a doubt, lowering the reward amount, big mistake. I hadn't realized that.
