I had no idea of this approach from candidate Trump. It seems to me that it is crazy, according to what I read, very opposite to what cryptocurrencies mean, however it goes hand in hand with what capitalism is and the system of the United States, which unfortunately is a power and could influence with its decisions many other countries, even under pressure to assume this system.
