RE: The role of lymphatic system in our body

in Project HOPE4 years ago

Hello @munawar1235
It is a good count or summary of the immune system. One thing, I was surprised that you said microphage and not macrophage, I think the nomenclature has not changed.
The other thing to highlight is that even though the spleen is an important organ for our body, we can live without it, and it is also very friable, that is to say, very weak and in the case of slight trauma it can be easily injured. It is one of the main causes of emergency surgery when there is some abdominal trauma because it easily breaks, and the internal bleeding that is triggered is very strong.
The thymus is practically nonexistent in adults, only a remnant remains that calcifies, and it does not fulfill any essential function in adult life.

Thank you for your comments. I was just giving examples of lymphatic system citing spleen, thymus and tonsils.
