The agricultural sector is one of the macroeconomic pillars

It is widely known that macroeconomics is a large-scale economic condition that applies in a large community such as a country or other communities. This macroeconomy requires the support of smaller-scale economic activities or is often termed microeconomics. So that if it will improve the economy and only focus on the macroeconomy, it will not run well if the micro economy is not considered.

In the real world, there are more general people who are directly involved in the economic cycle and most of them are in microeconomic positions. One of the economic actors that people experience is being a farmer. In terms of economic actors, farmers can enter into the position of producers because from the hands of these farmers, products will be produced, which these products will later be distributed to consumers.

Apart from being producers, farmers can also act as distributors when these farmers distribute their products directly to consumers. Especially with developing technology like today, it is not difficult to market manufactured goods and send them directly to consumers, for example by simply installing agricultural products on the social media marketplace where this service is available free of charge to these social media users.

Next, apart from being producers and distributors, farmers also automatically become consumers of economic products circulating in the market. In simple terms, if farmers need fish, they will look for fishermen, if farmers need meat, they act as consumers of a farmer. So the microeconomic cycle will go hand in hand with macroeconomic activities.

I practice as an economic actor by planting banana trees in the hope that at least I can become a consumer for products that I produce myself and can increase personal food security. Even though it hasn't produced fruit, it looks like this tree has started to grow well when seen from the leaves that have started to grow. Hopefully, this tree will soon be able to produce, even though it has not yet produced fruit, but I hope that it can produce new tree shoots so that I can multiply the existing trees.
