Appropriate technology using simple materials

When you hear the term technology, there are people who imagine something sophisticated and complicated than machines do. That image is not wrong but also inaccurate because the term technology has many different meanings from one technologist to another. One of the terms I will convey through this paper is appropriate technology. *** In everyday life, most of human life is related to technology, one of which is appropriate technology. Why is that because appropriate technology is a simple technology designed for a particular society so that it can be adapted to the environmental, ethical, cultural, social, political, and economic conditions of the community concerned so that a simple tool that helps human work in the household can be classified as appropriate technology. *** From some of the theories above, I try to apply this appropriate technology in my life. This time I introduce appropriate technology in the form of a shower that can spray water or what is known as a shower. *** In designing the appropriate shower technology, I took advantage of one of the properties of water, which is always flowing from a high to a low place. So I have a water reservoir that is higher than the height of the shower that will be installed. With a position like that, I hope the water can flow from the reservoir to the shower.

Then I drained the water from the reservoir using a pipe to the bathroom where the shower was installed. In the bathroom, I installed the tap to regulate the water discharge as desired. After that, I used a hose about one and a half meters long to connect the tap and shower. At the end of the hose, I put an old bottle with several holes with a small nail with the aim that when the water flows into the bottle, it will come out like a shower.
