We all have to learn from mistakes, and grow. There's been a major misunderstanding about making mistakes for so long. What our guardians, teachers, and other people told you is probably that it's wrong for you to make mistakes. But on the contrary, only adventurous people, and people that have a mindset for learning new things that make the most mistakes.

The big question is how else can you learn new things? You just have to make mistakes, it's almost inevitable. Thus, we can say that a person who doesn't make mistakes is a person who doesn't learn new things. Because a venturesome person will definitely put him/herself out there, and take those necessary risk to make success; as a result, make some mistakes along the way.

Albert Einstein once said - Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. That's the exact issue with making the same mistakes over and over again. Some people don't just alter the process. When you're doing anything, you have to take it step by step. When you're considering an option, you should do so, but if it doesn't work in a number of times or trials. You should make effort to advance something, change something.

It painful to make a mistake. But the main problem is not learning from those mistakes. The issue about not learning from a particular mistake is that - if you're in such a situation again, you'll still make that same exact mistake again; that's very wrong. The only reason why one should ever make a mistake and feel less pain is that you learned a lesson from it, and you won't repeat that same mistake ever again.

There are people that make a little mistake and complain all day, while there are other people that make a little mistake, and look for the lesson that they can take away from it. But kindly remember - The aim is to avoid making mistakes, as much as possible. But if at all, they come, you shouldn't break your head over it, but pick a lesson you learned from it, so as not to repeat it in the future.
