Self Expression: Improving Communication
When you're in a relationship - be it business or personal, there's a great need for you to be able to express yourself; and let others know exactly what you want, and don't want from the relationship. Hence, the need to express yourself.
The truth is that if you don't say what you want from a relationship, then how will the other party know what you'll accept and not accept? You need to always speak your mind, and be as clear as possible about the direction that you want things to go.
The problem with most people is that they don't express themselves. When they feel hurt or cheated, instead of talking to the other party about how they feel; they start displaying bad attitudes and behaving in ways that the other party cannot understand.
So much of the issues in relationships arise, because of poor communication. You must understand that if you don't express yourself very clearly, you may be misunderstood. Don't hold back the details that are hurting you, speak your mind in the most polite way.
The fact is that, if they don't like what you say, then you may as well end whatever business or relationship that you have going on. Because it's unfair to yourself, if you feel wronged, and yet continue to stay in the relationship. Proper self expression tends to bring mutual understanding and harmony to relationships.

Being able to communicate well with our sposes, family members or at our workplace is such an important skill to have. One that make or break.
I dont want to sound sexist, however it seem to me that majority of women expect their partners to 'read their minds' instead of learning how to communicate their needs and expectations. How better would it be if same women would actually learn to communicate better ...

Women tend to be that way - they're more advanced and sophisticated to indirect communication; and it's impossible for a man to beat them at their game. However, a man must stay true to his own way of communication - and state his needs very clearly and logically. Thanks for commenting.
