What You Should Know As a Small Startup
Get so great that you never want to be ignored by anyone, that is the drill if you are start anything especially a career. Starting one isn't easy and will always come with its downs. I always say that there is no one with a story, even a person born into wealth must have experienced one failed attempt in business or the other.
One thing I learned from my mentor is to learn and unlearn when it comes to starting out in any business in any place, at any time. This is because you are going into a new space, a new territory and at a particular time that will either be new in the industry in total, different from previous time, or ground breaking.
When you are starting a business, you need to forget a lot of things you think you know before. You need to understand that even when you are starting small, your target is to play in the global market because when local barriers are removed from your market, global market will always chase you away.
When global market takes over a certain place, local winners always crash if they are not ready to play the game of becoming a global player themselves. This is what happens when Walmart comes to a new environment and every small business that didn't innovate for years because they were enjoying their local wins begin to close business. The only to survive for long in any business is to play in the global stage else, you are just buying time and it is not going to be long before you shut down business.

It is not a must you follow a business model, the important thing is to start your business looking at customer's problem. You are not dealing with networking, you are dealing with customers. You should know your customers, their problems, and the solution you can profound. It is important to create a solution for your customers and not outrightly copy and paste someone else's business model.
If you are looking at going into the market, do not look for what is proven and make it cheaper because most times, people see cheaper as inferior while you are thinking they see it as a better option. t is better to look for something different and work on it. Comfort zone is another problem, either personal or cultural, getting out of the comfort zone is very important. You are not going to archive anything starting and staying in your comfort zone will not give you that. While your product can change as a business owner, let it still solve customer's problems.
