DNA holds all genetic information if a person and thanks to some part of the living creatures that decay slowly, it is easy to still get the genetic information of a living organism after several years.
Fossil study has always been a success thanks to DNA.

If you were to isolate DNA from a dinosaur, would it be possible to reproduce it? Would you have done this already?
My answer is it is in human nature to always want to find out and experiment things. That is why we are here currently.
Yes. Much progress has been made in helping us evolve. They'll probably be doing a lot of things you don't know about, that they'll keep hidden.
