The truth is that I think when you have a business the best thing is to have your family as far away as possible and not involve them and if you are going to make them more aware of everything, I think it was partly his fault for leaving everything at the mercy of his family, if he saw that things were not going well he should take other measures and change staff or equipment. That's the way business is!
If only he had taken those preventive measures, he might still be alive till date but the story is shared so others can also learn from it, cheers friend.
Business is as much about learning as anything. I think a key fail point is isolating the operational environment.
