The Chinese digital yuan and cryptocurrencies in Costa Rica
Despite cryptocurrency mining bans, China continues to push ahead with its economic goals. The country has been developing its digital currency, known as the Yuan, for months. As expected, China intends to give the project greater visibility and, therefore, greater adoption. The launch of the app, known as e-CNY, established on Android and Apple, has recently been confirmed. Although it has been proclaimed as available, on both operating systems, it will not be available for the entire Asian region. It can only be determined in regions such as Xian, Dalian, Shanghai, among others. In a few words, tourists and temporary visitors to these provinces are certified to be able to use the application. For convenience and greater user attraction, the app will coincide with the Chinese New Year and the 2022 Winter Olympics. The date would be between February 1 and 4. Tourists during this season will be able to download the app and use it without any inconvenience, adding that it is not necessary to have a bank account.
The adoption and legality that cryptocurrencies are having in the different countries of the world, especially Latin American ones, is undeniable. Recently, the new weekly program of the radio station, known as radio CRC 89.1, was released. This weekly program is known by the name "Crypto-Economy", where they deal with all current issues, in relation to cryptocurrencies.
This radio program is hosted by the journalist Carlos Villalobos, along with two star economists, Ivannia Bolaños and Alberto Vargas. Bolaños explained that all the members of the program are grateful and happy to be the pioneering faces and responsible for broadcasting these issues to the Costa Rican population. With this program it is expected that the population of the territory joins the wave, and that more than a change in the future, it is already consolidated as the present. This program arises from the interest on the part of the entire world, in relation to technological advances and the economic space, which is mostly based on cryptocurrencies. But, this program is not only limited to the country, they also carry out a live broadcast of the program, specifically on Facebook, where it has more than 45 thousand followers. The program focuses on the new generation, which aims to forge new businesses and investments, immersed in technology and crypto assets.
