The Technology of Wireless Electricity

Have you been caught in a position where you wish you can move your charger along with you as you go from one place to another but can’t because your charger isn’t wireless and it can be very disturbing?

*these wires are becoming more of a pain in the neck, why can’t I just enjoy wireless electricity?

What if you can charge your gadgets just like you connect to a WIFI?

Nicholas Tesla was regarded as the father of wireless electricity about 100 years ago, but a lot of people started using wire transfer as it was able to transmit energy over a long distance. In the future, a lot of electrical appliances will be working fine without wires, as powers will be transferred to them wirelessly.

Amazing you say, how radiofrequency signals can be used to transfer electrical energy. It is true that radiofrequency signals and magnetic induction have similar methods of working. For radiofrequency signal electric transfer, transmitter from a radioactive frequency device or router sends the signal out after which a rectenna picks up the signal and it is converted to electricity which can be used to power devices and charge batteries. Just like there will be smart home, there will be wireless homes.

Another technology is from Witricity invented by a theoretical physicist and his group in MIT which uses magnetic energy instead of radiation, which allows the transfer of energy over a distance wirelessly. They tried it with an electrical bulb giving a distance of about 2 meter and the bulb got 50% the efficiency it would have gotten with wire. The concept uses resonate energy transfer where it uses magnetic energy. The concept converts electricity to magnetic field after which it converts it to electric field.

Conclusion

Wireless electricity, is going to change the way people use cords and wires but there are a few limitation towards this technology. One is the current Wifi routers only emit about 1 Watt power so it can only be used to charge smaller object. Distance is also something that scientists are working on to make this technology to become usable even in long distance. Agency Approval as people are already complaining about too many radiation effects on humans.

It it is possible to run on a wireless electricity it will be really fascinating because we have a whole collection of wires at almost every angle already.

I am actually just hearing about "Witricity" for the first time though and from your write up it simply implies that there is high chance of the world running wireless technology. There was actually a time whereby phone ear bud or ear speakers are usually connected with wires but now wireless technology has actually made it easy to insert your ear bud into your ears with Bluetooth connection which makes you feel comfortable without the need of using any wire.

I'm also more optimistic about the charging aspect you mentioned earlier on. It's really gonna be interesting if we can charge without making use of chargers but I'm just concerned about how the energy will be generated unless there's a power bank which stores the energy and can then be easily transmitted to the phone through wifi or Bluetooth but the only disadvantage here is that there must be some little amount of power in your phone for this to happen.

Or could it be that there will actually be a new charged power bank which can transmit energy to the phone just by mere contact of the phone and the energy bank without any use of wires.

Thanks for sharing this great post with love from @hardaeborla and I hope you have a great day ahead ❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️
