That's right friend, when we have a purpose and undertake a task we must have the right attitude, and for that we need to maintain the motivation that makes us undertake that task, since it is not the past circumstances that will determine our future success, it is what we decide to do in the present.
I love the last part of your comment. Yes, the past does not determine the future as much as the present does. Thanks a lot @emiliomoron
