Nanotechnology is extending its reach to many areas, and this is a very promising application if it comes to replace the use of chemical fertilizers that, as you rightly mention, have serious consequences on the health of people and the environment. Let's hope that the cost of the technology allows its wide use and that studies show that it is truly safe.
