If you do not intentionally push your income, to an extent when you can afford anything that you want in life; then you'll always be living below your means. While this may appeal to a lot of people, who fear to live life to the fullest of their capabilities - this doesn't appeal to rich people.
Rich people constantly fight to make sure that they don't work to live below their means. It's usually when a person doesn't know what to do to increase their money; that they allow novices to advice them that the best thing is to live below your means.
You should take your time to observe people who always talk about living below their means - because suddenly, their income keeps on shrinking and reducing, because all they think about is how to live below. On the other hand, observe people who make efforts to live above their means.
These people who always thrive to live above their means, tend to find ways to increase their income. It's simple logic - because such a person's mind will be constantly seeking for opportunities to expand and increase his income, so that he can live better.
Don't work so hard only to live below your means. Push the limits, and make efforts to live above your means - because that's usually when doors of good opportunities start opening for you. Hence, always work hard to live above your means - that's the way you push forward the growth of your income.
With the high rate of inflation in most countries now, it is smart to look for ways to increase your income rather than living below your means, because no matter how hard you try, it may not just add up.
