We live is such a crime fill world, where attackers are aiming at breaking into personal, organization or country systems, networks and other infrastructures every day. The use of electronic computer open mankind into a lot of possibilities, some are good and others are bad, infant we have automated cars, kitchens and so on that make life easy and better for us and at the same time we have witnessed alot of negative effects that cyber-attack on computers, electronic and software had caused us over the years.

In 1988, Robert Tappan Morris created the first computer worm, although according to him he had a good intention but of cause things change when the worm morphed into a virus and it was reported to have affected 6000 computers all over the world causing alot of damages that was estimated to be 10-100 million USD.

Another attack that was recorded over the years is that of Google's Chinese headquarters which occur in the mid-december of 2009 when a security breech was discovered.

Tens of millions of credit cards details was hacked by an hacker called Gonzales in 2009. $80 million worth of damages was caused by a virus called Melissa, that infect Microsoft word in the year 1999

These and many more are some of the negative effects of cybercrime on computers, electronics, software and infrastructures. Now it because important to know and practices some of security measures that can keep one safe on the cyber space.

Good and robust security software and antivirus is needed and good awareness is also required in our society likewise encryption of information and data and good authentication system are part of the the preventive measures that can be put in place by individuals, organisation or the government if cyber crime rate will be reduce drastically in our society and the world at large.

Finally to avoid damage or destructions of information and lost of resources, it is very important to put in place good preventive measures against cyber-attacks. Thanks
