Some considerations on the Quality of Working Life.

Introduction

The quality of work life is often considered as the basis for the economic development of the individual, since it allows to increase the production of goods and services with a better use of the factors involved.

Therefore, it is necessary to understand the fundamental relationship that exists between productivity, efficiency, effectiveness and quality of work life, since, with proper management, it can result in a better competitive position in the individual firstly, and in the organization secondly, which will bring about the strengthening of business management.

On the other hand, the current trend in all organizations is to have work environments where workers feel motivated and satisfied in all aspects, thus achieving greater skills and knowledge that allow better performance.

From the point of view of companies, regardless of their corporate name, or where the capital for their operation comes from, their objectives are oriented towards achieving greater performance in their activities, which for some generates profitability (profits) and in others social satisfaction (non-profit), it is here where the concept of quality of working life intervenes to offer alternatives that provide such benefits without detriment to workers.

In the case of public institutions, they are in a permanent search of benefits that allow them to face the demand of a good attention to the people who are active in such organizations, however in government I cannot fulfill all these requirements to maintain an optimal work environment and an improvement of the quality of working life, so the staff is affected by a series of economic and financial situations that affect in some way their business performance.

If this situation persists, it could lead the company to a crisis in the work environment, evidenced by problems such as: workers' dissatisfaction, decreased productivity, elements that together contribute to a negative work environment, i.e. feelings that lead the worker to not be integrated into their work group and finally lose the sense of relevance for the organization.

On the other hand, jobs in the private work environment offer sufficient rewards, benefits, recognition and control to employees over their actions. For this reason it is important to create conducive and motivating work environments, with the objective of satisfying the needs of the members of the company, among which we can mention: improvement of working conditions that are safer and more hygienic, peace of mind (job security), opportunities to advance through merit and recognition, and the feeling of the organization as a constant support for integral, personal and family development, thus creating a better quality of work life for all.
